China is in the game in the Middle-East – Podcast

On March 6, 2023, after seven years of hostility and conflicts, Iran and Saudi Arabia agreed to end this diplomatic situation and restore relationships in a significant deal facilitated with the support of China.

The European Council on Foreign Relations, in a very interesting article titled “The Shoots of Stability: What the Saudi-Iran deal means for the Middle East and Europe,” shared the following statement:

Saudi Arabia and Iran have agreed to begin normalizing their relations. Europeans should consider how to help entrench the stabilizing gains of the agreement – even as they navigate difficulties with Iran.

Perhaps the Middle East is one of the most volatile regions in the world and has the most impact regarding gas, oil, and energy.

This issue of how China facilitated the reestablishment of diplomatic relations between the Saudis and the Iranians marks a milestone in the geopolitical game, not only for these countries but also for the countries of the Persian Gulf and the Middle East.

As such a relevant geopolitical topic, it seemed essential to address this issue on my new podcast, “The Geopolitical Puzzle.”

I had the opportunity to have as a guest Javad Keypour, an Iranian professional based in Tallinn, Estonia.

In this episode, we talk about the impact of the agreement between Iran and Saudi Arabia with the support of China and its repercussions in the Middle East.
